The project will run for the first 5 working days of the week of the school, distributing the traditional Ayurveda gruel, piping hot, to its 400 students, free of cost, just before they leave school in the evening. A selected group will be monitored via their oral feedback on general well-being. Dr I Bhavdasan Naboothiri who inaugurated the Oushadha kanji Project expressed hope that activities such as this would help the current and coming generations rediscover the healthy alternatives that Ayurveda prescribes which imparts health, well-being and longevity as opposed to the quick-fix, proprietary, cosmetic solutions one usually goes for in times of ill-health.
