Itoozhi Ayurveda’s Ayurveda Eye Specialty Clinic at the Global Ayurveda Festival 2014 had yet another personality from Ayurvedic medicine gracing us with his presence – Dr Vijayan Nangelil, the founder of Nangelil Medical College and Member of the KISMA Board. The revered doctor was at the Global Ayurveda Festival 2014 as a honored invitee for the launch of the Abhinava Dhanvantari Journal of Ayurveda by Dr. Antonio Morandi.
KISMA (KERALA STATE INDIAN SYSTEM OF MEDICINE SELF-FINANCING MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION) is a formal association of the eleven self-financing Ayurveda Colleges in Kerala including the three colleges owned by the state government and the two that receives aid from the government.
KISMA ensures that only qualified personnel are appointed in academic departments in its colleges. Its concerns include maintaining quality in Education, standardisation of Medicines and the cultivation of medicinal plants. It promotes discussion classes and refresher courses.
The Global Ayurveda Festival 2014 concludes today, 24 February, 2014.
