Dr. Unnikrishnan Namboothiri, the Additional Chief Physician of Ayurveda, Itoozhi Ayurveda, visited Shri Ram Nath Kovind, the Former President of India at Kottakkal, Kerala. Shri Ram Nath Kovind had reached Kottakkal two weeks ago for Ayurvedic treatment. Dr Unnikrishnan visited him as per directives received to advice on Shri Ram Nath Kovind’s eye examination and treatment. During the visit, the former President also expressed his interest in knowing more about the traditional Ayurvedic eye treatment in Kerala.
The first edition of the Indian Constitution translated into the Sanskrit language was presented as a gift to Shri Kovind by Dr. Unnikrishnan Namboothiri. Dr. K. H. Subrahmanyan, the former Registrar of Kannur University, had completed the Sanskrit translation of the Indian Constitution in 2022. Dr. P. M. Warrier, the Managing Trustee of Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, was also present during the visit.
