Dr Itoozhi Unnikrishnan Namboothiri is a part of the Mathrubhumi SEED Initiative Itoozhi Ayurveda has always been, and will be, a staunch supporter and evangelist in our own initiatives and of those by like-minded institutions to conserve and propagate the Green cover of our Mother Earth.

So, it has been with delight that we have got ourselves associated with the Mathrubhumi SEED Initiative from the Mathrubhumi Media Foundation.

SEED or Student Empowerment for Environmental Development is the novel project which aims to make school children aware of the importance of environmental protection and to make such activities part of their daily life.

Currently in its 5th successful year, the project aims to pave way for a new green culture by assembling high schools, higher secondary schools and upper primary schools in the state. The functional activities of SEED aim to strengthen the students to ensure environment- friendly growth and development. As pillars of support to them, teachers, parents, various government departments, private and public sector undertakings are with them too. SEED is for our earth, for better tomorrow and for us. Let us all join together under the canopy of this greenery.

Dr Itoozhi Unnikrishnan Namboothiri, a recipient of the 2012 Vanamitra Award by the Kerala state government himself, graciously consented to inaugurate the academic year’s SEED activities of St Joseph’s High School, Pushpagiri, which was also followed by a Public Forum and Discussion on “Environment & Health” and an exhibition of Ayurvedic herbs in the School premises.
