In the last article, we had mentioned about Dry Eye Syndrome, its causes and symptoms. Here on, we shall discuss how Ayurveda would approach treatment of this disease. Ayurveda prescribes a very natural, side effect free and organic way of treating Dry Eye Syndrome.
The line of treatment would be correction of digestion and balancing the doshas and correction of Vata in the Pitta Sthana (Eyes). The treatment modalities include panchakarma, external therapies, internal medications, Activities, Advice of food as well as life style changes.

As for Panchakarma, depending upon the root cause, if there is an involvement in the metabolism and chronic condition, it shall be Virechana followed by Nasya.
